What V1.82 actually shipped, and who confirmed it
The update was first announced publicly on September 5, 2026 by Shenanigans News, a fan run account on X that says its posts come straight from the developer's own Discord server rather than from guesswork. Its announcement named three headline changes: the full release of Disaster Plants, the addition of Sky Assassin, and a new awakening for Register. A handful of independent skill guide sites, including JJS Skill Builder and TreyExGaming, published detailed breakdowns of the patch the same day after testing the new content themselves in game, and their accounts of what each character can do line up closely. One recap lists the release date as September 6 instead of September 5. Every other source we checked, including the developer relayed announcement, agrees on September 5, so treat the 6th as a likely rounding or time zone slip rather than a second release.
Sky Assassin is Takako Uro, and she is not finished
Sky Assassin adapts Takako Uro, a character from Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga, and brings her Sky Manipulation technique into the fighting game as an 80 HP kit built around aerial pressure and launchers. She is an Early Access character, which in Jujutsu Shenanigans means you need the Early Access game pass, priced at 195 Robux, to play her at all. That pass is not a one time purchase for just Sky Assassin either, it permanently unlocks whichever styles are currently in Early Access, present and future, for as long as they stay in that category. Her kit is openly unfinished. As of this patch, her third skill slot and her Special move are both empty, and the developer can still change what she has before she leaves Early Access.
Uro's three live moves
Blind Rage is an unblockable forward grab: Uro lunges at the target, grabs them, and uses Sky Manipulation to slam them through nearby surfaces before throwing them clear, a setup for aerial combos rather than a finisher on its own. Sky Distortion auto aims and can deflect incoming projectiles, and multiple guides list its cooldown at around 12 seconds. Its damage and range both increase while Uro is in her Temper state. Thin Ice Breaker has Uro strike the surface layer of the sky like she is shattering thin ice, hitting the target with a focused shockwave, and it behaves differently depending on whether she is airborne or grounded when she throws it. Guides note it will not reset until you dash toward the target with Q afterward.
Temper is her awakening, and it is not a Domain Expansion
Pressing G once the meter is full triggers Temper, Sky Assassin's awakening state, and by at least one guide's account it fills roughly four times faster than a standard awakening bar. Temper resets cooldowns, strengthens her existing three moves rather than replacing them, and closes with a shockwave finisher one guide describes as earthquake level. Her passive is smaller but constant: she floats just above the ground while moving instead of walking normally, in keeping with a character built around treating open air as a surface.
Register's new Con-Artistry awakening
Register is a receipt themed fighter, community guides refer to the character as Reggie Star, whose base kit cycles through a fixed sequence of attacks, Gushing Wound, Home Run, Litter, Coupon, Piano Drop, Garage Sale and Blunt Trauma, rather than four freely chosen moves. V1.82 gives Register an awakening for the first time: Con-Artistry, unlocked by filling an awakening meter through fighting and triggered with G. Con-Artistry currently holds two Ultimate attacks rather than a full kit. Mayhem, on G plus 1, turns recreated objects into improvised weapons and lands best against an opponent who is already committed to another move or recovering from one, not as a panic button. Big Moves, on G plus 2, summons two trucks that converge on the target from different directions, so guides warn against aiming at where the opponent currently stands rather than where they are moving. Like Sky Assassin, Register is still officially Early Access, and guides expect more Ultimate moves to fill out Con-Artistry later.
Disaster Plants goes free and picks up two Empower variants
Disaster Plants moved out of limited release and is now free to play for everyone, the biggest access change in this patch outside of the two new characters. On top of that, the style's Empower system got two new variants: Flower Field's Empower version now creates pullable spikes, and Root Rampage's Empower version doubles the size of its root and expands the area it covers. Guides also mention general balance changes to the style beyond those two, without listing every number changed.
13 new emotes, or 14, depending which page you read
JJS Skill Builder's own patch recap says V1.82 added 13 new emotes to the shop. Its separate, continuously updated emotes tracking page lists 14 items currently live and credits the extra one to an emote it says was not in the original patch notes. We are not going to guess which number is right, guides disagree here, so take 13 as the officially announced count and 14 as what one tracker currently shows in the live shop.
What is still unknown
Neither Sky Assassin's missing third skill nor her Special move has been detailed anywhere we could verify, so do not trust anyone claiming to know their effects yet. Register's Con-Artistry is explicitly a two move awakening for now, and no guide has said when, or whether, more Ultimates are coming. Whether Disaster Plants going free is permanent or a limited promotion has not been stated either way. And the single day gap between the September 5 and September 6 release dates reported across different recaps has not been resolved by anything more authoritative than the developer relayed announcement, which says the 5th.
