Anomalies are patients disguised as normal animals. You catch them by checking three things, the patient's appearance, their photo, and the CCTV feed, and rejecting entry when any of them shows an anomaly sign. Each anomaly is only detectable in one of those ways.

Appearance anomalies are visible on the patient directly (extra eyes, human teeth, twitching). Photo anomalies only show up in the developed photo (mismatched eyes/ears, static). CCTV anomalies only appear on the security cameras (void bodies, skinwalkers, censored eyes). Some monsters also roam the hospital.

Admitting an anomaly usually costs sanity or triggers a dangerous event, so when in doubt, close the shutters. Use the anomaly identifier to confirm the sign and the correct response before you decide.
