GTA 6 Vice City: everything Rockstar has actually shown
Vice City is the dense urban core of GTA 6's state of Leonida, a modern day take on Miami that Rockstar's official site describes as "the darkest side of the sunniest place in America," and that Game Informer's coverage sums up as "the glamour, hustle, and greed of America captured in a single city." Across three trailers and the August 27, 2026 Extended Look, Rockstar has shown named locations including Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, the Tisha-Wocka flea market, VC Port, a downtown skyline anchored by the Sahara Arena, and the nightclub NINE1NINE, but it has not published a labeled district map of Vice City the way it named Leonida's six wider regions.

What Vice City actually is
Vice City is one of six regions Rockstar has named inside the state of Leonida, alongside the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park, all named in Rockstar's second trailer and detailed in Game Informer's region by region coverage of it. It is the flagship setting, the one the series is named after, and the one Rockstar's marketing keeps coming back to. On the official rockstargames.com/VI site, the story is framed as Jason and Lucia finding themselves "on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida." Game Informer's own framing of Rockstar's pitch puts it succinctly: Vice City is "the glamour, hustle, and greed of America captured in a single city." This is a modern day Vice City, not the 1980s version from 2002's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Reviewers who covered the first trailer in December 2023 noted that explicitly: the neon and Art Deco are still there, but the cars, phones and technology are current day. Ocean Beach: the strip everyone recognizes
Ocean Beach is Vice City's version of Miami Beach, and it is the single most photographed part of the game so far. The first trailer, released December 2023, showed a nightlife strip of Art Deco buildings lit in multicolored neon, matching the real architecture of Miami's South Beach almost directly: streamline moderne curves, raised lobbies, horizontal banding. One building visible on that strip's skyline is called Hotel Dixon, which GTA BOOM's location breakdown frames as a nod to the real Hotel Victor, an Ocean Drive hotel whose Art Deco facade it closely resembles. Rockstar has not confirmed the reference itself, only that Hotel Dixon appears in the game. The Extended Look added density rather than new geography: a beach packed with NPCs under rows of yellow umbrellas, joggers, swimmers and sunbathers, with water and sand physics Rockstar highlighted specifically as a step up from GTA 5's Los Santos beaches.
Downtown: glass towers and the Sahara Arena
Vice City's downtown is shown as a cluster of glass and steel skyscrapers, standing in for downtown Miami's real skyline. A highway sign visible in the first trailer reads Downtown, placing it as a named destination rather than just background architecture. The clearest downtown landmark is a stadium modeled on the real Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat, first shown in the December 2023 trailer. In game it is renamed the Sahara Arena, sponsored in universe by the retail company Sahara, a stand in for Amazon, and its home team is the basketball franchise Vice City Narcos. The arena sits on Catalan Boulevard, next to the highway sign for Interstate 404.
Little Cuba and VC Port: the working city
Away from the beach and the skyscrapers, Rockstar's second trailer, released May 6, 2025, introduced Little Cuba, a neighborhood built as Vice City's take on Miami's real Little Havana. Alongside it, the trailer named the Tisha-Wocka flea market and VC Port, a working port district. These three, Ocean Beach, Little Cuba and VC Port, plus the Tisha-Wocka flea market, are the specific Vice City locations both Game Informer's and Dexerto's coverage of the second trailer name directly. That is a shorter list than some fan maps circulate, and it is deliberately short: this post only lists what press coverage of Rockstar's own trailers actually confirms.
The nightlife: NINE1NINE, and what is still a guess
The second trailer shows Jason and Lucia dancing at a club called NINE1NINE, a rendition of E11EVEN, a real nightclub in downtown Miami known for staying open around the clock. E11EVEN itself responded to the reference, flying a banner over Miami Beach reading "WHEN NINE1NINE = E11EVEN" days after the trailer dropped. Variety's write up of the trailer only mentions the club scene in passing, one clause in a list of activities alongside jetskis and bank jobs, so treat the nightlife focus as confirmed by the footage itself, not as something Variety called out in detail. The first trailer separately showed a nightclub interior with red curtains that some outlets guessed could be a modern version of the Malibu Club from the original Vice City. Treat that one as a guess, not a confirmation. Rockstar has not named that interior or said it returns from the 1980s game.
The shops on the signs
Rockstar dressed Vice City's streets with named, fictional businesses rather than generic storefronts, and a few have been picked out from freeze frames of the first trailer. Vice City Pawn, seemingly a rendition of the real Americash Pawn Shop in Miami's Edgewater neighborhood, and a vehicle customization shop called Rideout Customs, in the Crosstown area of the city, are both visible on signage. Rideout Customs matters beyond set dressing: Rockstar has confirmed it is one of the customization shops locked to the $99.99 Ultimate Edition, excluded from the $79.99 Standard Edition alongside a hair salon, clothing store and tattoo shop. If you are budgeting which edition to buy, that is a Vice City specific reason to check the edition comparison before you decide. Not every named storefront in Rockstar's trailers is actually in Vice City. Uncle Jack's Liquor, the liquor store chain shown getting robbed in the first trailer, has since been placed in Port Gellhorn, not Vice City. The shopping center sign advertising Kowalski, Callus and Skala, read as parody names for real luxury brands, sits in Waning Sands, a separate town in Leonard County. Freeze frame detective work is only useful if you also check where the frame was actually shot.
The Sinfrontera National Bank heist
The clearest story beat set in Vice City so far is a bank job. Trailer 2 shows Jason and Lucia robbing a Sinfrontera National Bank, and framing from that footage places the job inside the city rather than out in Leonida's rural regions. Rockstar has not detailed the mission itself beyond what the trailer shows: a loud, front door robbery rather than a stealth approach. It is one data point, not a confirmed structure for how the campaign uses Vice City versus the rest of the map, and we are not going to extrapolate mission design from one trailer clip.
What Rockstar has not shown
Rockstar has not published a labeled map of Vice City's internal districts the way it named Leonida's six wider regions. Neighborhood names like Stockyard, Starfish Island and Southside are reasonably well corroborated across outlets that have analyzed the trailers and screenshots closely, but they still come from that analysis, not from an official Rockstar map graphic, and the studio has not confirmed the boundaries between them. As the shops section above shows, that gap is exactly where mistakes creep in: a building or sign spotted in a trailer is not automatically in Vice City just because a Vice City scene played right before or after it. Treat any specific district claim you see elsewhere the same way this post tries to: check whether it is tied to an actual trailer, screenshot or outlet that did the legwork, not just repeated across enough fan lists that it sounds settled. Separately, and worth not confusing with any of the above: Miami-Dade County officials have been in talks with Rockstar about real world marketing tie ins, airport branding and public installations, covered in a pitch deck this site wrote up separately. That is a real world marketing partnership, not in game map content, and it tells you nothing about what is actually inside Vice City when you play.
